Angers SCO vs Arsenal Preview

Arsenal will face French side Angers SCO in their upcoming club friendlies of the pre-season on Wednesday, July 31. Arsenal is having a mixed pre-season campaign, losing two of their five pre-season fixtures.
The Gunners will look to build some momentum with a possible win over Angers ahead of their clash with Spanish giants Barcelona in the final of Joan Gamper Trophy.
Angers SCO heads to the fixture on the back of three wins of their last five fixtures in all competition. Arsenal, as well, has won three of their last five fixtures.
Dani Ceballos came on during the game. He was not included in the match day squad.
The Gunners were also without Laurent Koscielny as his stand-off with the club continues, while Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac are not involved following their traumatic experiences involving a carjacking attack in north London.
In the first half, Angers were the better side and caught Arsenal napping to go 1-0 ahead, a lead they took into the break.
Reiss Nelson soon found an equaliser in the second half as Emery shuffled his pack to make five changes from his bench.
After the two sides couldn't be separated in 90 minutes it went to penalties with the Gunners taking victory in the shootout that finished 4-3 to the visitors.
